Pelion employees as honorary blood donors
On September 26th 2016, for the sixth time Pelion employees joined a voluntary blood donation campaign.
Blood donation sessions have been held at the Company since November 2015. The first edition of the event took place as part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Pelion’s establishment, another one was held during the ‘I Care for My Health’ family picnic accompanying the DOZ Maraton Łódź z PZU running event in April 2016.
To date, workplace blood donation sessions have been held six times, with Pelion employees donating in excess of 50 litres of blood. The group of voluntary blood donors at the Company currently has nearly 70 members and keeps growing.
Many of them have donated blood for a long time. They are happy that blood donation sessions are organised on the Company’s premises as this makes it easier for them to participate.
Blood donation is one of the elements of the Company’s mission to promote long and quality life. Blood is a gift of life and the most valuable remedy, saving people’s lives and health.
