Pelion joins the first “Masters&Robots” conference as partner
Pelion, the largest company in the Polish healthcare sector, has become a partner of the first “Masters&Robots” conference, to be held in Warsaw on October 26th–28th 2017. Focus on innovation and on knowledge and talent sharing are the key reasons why the company has decided to join the initiative.
The “Masters&Robots” conference is described as one of the largest tech events in Poland. It will bring together several dozens experts, entrepreneurs, professors, innovators and visionaries from all over the world, who will share their knowledge in such areas as new technologies, modern business management methods, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, the future of Internet and effective use of social media. The event is aimed at sharing and spreading expert knowledge in theory and practice.
“Masters&Robots” is organised by the Digital University Foundation, with Singularity University Warsaw being the expert partner.
Innovation is one of the pillars of Pelion’s operations. The company actively participates in building and developing the healthcare market in Poland and Lithuania. Its ambition is to set the development directions for the industry. In its daily operations, the company keeps track of market changes, listens to patients and customers, and identifies their needs and expectations in order to respond to them as best as possible.
The main area of Pelion’s business where innovation plays a crucial role is creating a tightly controlled and secure manufacturer-to-patient drug distribution system, based on automated warehouses and state-of-the-art lines for order picking and preparing drugs for delivery to pharmacies. In August 2016 in Łódź, Pelion’s subsidiary PGF Urtica opened Poland’s largest and very modern warehouse of drugs for in-patient healthcare institutions, from which pharmaceuticals are supplied to 870 hospitals, thus reaching about every third hospital in-patient. Pelion’s another subsidiary, Pharmena, is working on an innovative 1-MNA molecule in order to patent it and apply in treating heart and vascular diseases. epruf was the first company on the Polish market to implement a private drug reimbursement and drug insurance programme. Innovative projects pursued by Pelion companies also include the e-zamówienia and m-zamówienia online platforms enabling easy and convenient ordering of drugs, as well as doz.pl, Poland’s largest website devoted to health, and medme.pl, combining content with a social media service.
