DOZ Maraton Łódź 2017: the “Loudest Marathon in Poland” Registration open until April 16th 2017
On April 23rd 2017, thousands of runners from Poland and abroad will again take the streets of Łódź in the seventh edition of DOZ Maraton Łódź. The race is expected to be Poland’s 2017 loudest marathon.
Runners will cross the city’s main streets and pass the revitalised historic EC1 heating plant, newly open Łódź Fabryczna railway station, as well as Księży Młyn village. Traditionally, the finish line will be at the Atlas Arena, which ensures a memorable close of the race.
In addition to the marathon, DOZ Maraton Łódź 2017 will include a 10-kilometre race, runs for children and youth, and many attractions for Łódź inhabitants and running enthusiasts.
The marathon route, with 50 cheering points alongside, will comprise seven sections, each featuring a different music genre, including club, rock, jazz, folk, pop and world music. In charge of the overall setting of the event will be Artistic Director of DOZ Maraton Łódź, Piotr Rogucki − musician, lyricist, author and frontman of Coma rock band, as well as participant of the DOZ marathon on April 23rd.
In the invariably charitable spirit of DOZ Maraton Łódź, the “Running to help” initiative will be promoted,
and runners will be encouraged to make voluntary donations to one of this year’s three partner organisations: Fundacja Iskierka, Fundacja Udaru Mózgu and Stowarzyszenie SOS Wioski Dziecięce. The “Running to help” project is supported by the DOZ Dbam o Zdrowie Foundation.
Online registration for the seventh edition via https://slotmarket.pl will be open until April 16th 2017. In 2016, DOZ Maraton Łódź and the accompanying events attracted a record number of nearly 6,000 runners.

DOZ Maraton Łódź is the first Polish running event that has been given a five-star certification rating of European Athletics, and also one of the few in the world with IAAF Silver Label Road Race status. These distinctions confirm exceptionally high organisational standards and strong position of DOZ Maraton Łódź as a sporting event.
