Pelion with Polski Kompas 2016 statuette

Pelion, Poland’s largest healthcare company, has been awarded by the editorial team of the Gazeta Bankowa monthly the ‘Polski Kompas’ (Poland’s Compass) 2016 statuette.

As stated in the grounds for the decision, the award is in recognition of Pelion’s innovative projects, going off the beaten track, consistent involvement in promoting healthcare in Poland, and becoming the industry leader.

The Polski Kompas 2016 award ceremony was held on October 18th 2016 in the Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. Ms Mariola Belina-Prażmowska, Vice-President of the Management Board of Pelion, collected the statuette on behalf of the Company.

As she stressed in her speech, “the Polski Kompas award is a great honour to Pelion, as it places our Company in a position of a leader to set directions for others, as a trail blazer and innovator. Throughout the 26 years of our presence in the Polish and, for a couple of years also the Lithuanian, healthcare market, we have never been afraid of that role. We make sure we are always a few steps ahead. We set ourselves ambitious goals which we pursue consistently. We implement innovative solutions and provide state-of-the-art services to our patients, customers and trading partners, to best respond to their needs and expectations.”

Pelion owes its current position to hard work, clearly defined objectives and a well selected team of dedicated individuals who work together in pursuit of the Company’s mission. Pelion is now a byword for Polish success, which from the very beginning was built on domestic capital and always with due respect to patients and customers.

For 26 years Pelion has been involved in the development of the Polish economy, as a reliable enterprise and employer guided by the principles of economic patriotism.

The Company’s overriding objective is to care for Poles’ long and quality life. Driven by this spirit, the Company has been growing, creating innovations and developing solutions tailored to the needs of this world of limited resources. These are elements of sustainable development and responsible business. Pelion is a reliable trading partner, a stable and trustworthy employer, and an experienced supplier of healthcare solutions for patients. In this way the Company builds sustainable value for the organisation, its stakeholders and the Polish economy.

The award ceremony also featured a debate with Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło on the most important projects currently worked on by the Polish government. The debate participants deemed an effective implementation of the Responsible Development Plan the key task now. A special Polski Kompas statuette was also awarded to the Prime Minister in recognition of the government’s consistent implementation of the economic and social plan for Poland.
