Pelion Healthcare Group: 25 years in the healthcare business

As a company built on the basis of Polish capital, Pelion has been a significant contributor to Poland’s economy for 25 years. Pelion’s history is a history of development from a small, local wholesaler supplying only a few pharmacies, to one of the largest operators on the Polish and Lithuanian healthcare markets, providing services to patients, pharmacies, hospitals and manufacturers, pioneering and leading innovative e-health solutions. The drug distribution system used by Pelion is among the most developed in Europe, ensuring closed, fully sealed and safe transport of medicines from manufacturer to patient.

Pelion’s core operations are focused within four business lines as part of which, through its subsidiaries, it serves over 10 thousand pharmacies, cooperates with 850 drug manufacturers, leads the domestic market of hospital supplies, providing medicines to 80% of all hospitals in Poland, manages the largest pharmacy chain on the Polish market and provides manufacturers with comprehensive logistics support.
Pelion Healthcare Group’s 25 years of market presence has been the time of building solid foundations for the company, which in 2015 was ranked 32nd in the list of 500 Largest Polish Businesses published by Rzeczpospolita.
