I Care for My Health Foundation

The I Care for My Health Foundation came into being in August 2007 to tackle the problem of affordability of medicinal products, which affects a sizeable portion of the Polish population. The Foundation was set up with the active support of pharmacists, who shared their insights and experiences. In May 2008, it received the status of Public Benefit Organisation (Organizacja Pożytku Publicznego, OPP). The Foundation’s statutory goal is to help patients suffering from chronic conditions whose personal circumstances and financial situation are difficult to pay for their medicines. Assistance is provided in the form of vouchers, guaranteeing that it will be used according to its intended purpose. The Foundation reaches out to those in need of its support either directly, or through other organisations active in the sphere of public good with which it cooperates. Since its inception, The Foundation has provided support to more than 20 thousand individuals and 100 institutions, whilst its total value has exceeded PLN 2m.
